60th Anniversary History Exhibition and Poetry Afternoon Saturday 11 April 2026 at 3:00 PM 🗓

As part of the 60th Anniversary celebrations of the Polish Club General W. Sikorski, we warmly invite you to the Exhibition on the History of the Club.

This event will open our jubilee month and provide an opportunity to honour the Polish Club, its dedicated volunteers, and the Polish community in Western Australia.

The Exhibition will be officially opened at 3:00 PM by our distinguished guest,
Her Excellency Karolina Cemka, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Australia.
The exhibition will remain open to visitors for the following three weeks.

Following the official opening, at 4:00 PM, we invite you to a special artistic programme of Poetry Group

Jeszcze Raz

The Polish Club Sikorski, together with the Poetry Group “Jeszcze Raz”, invites you to a unique encounter with Polish Romanticism—its customs, folk imagination, moral dilemmas, and the mystery that has inspired generations.

In the first part, we will present selected ballads by Adam Mickiewicz, revealing a world of old traditions, folk rituals, moral choices, and the characteristic humour of the era. Scenes full of energy, wit, and vitality will be interwoven with images deeply rooted in the traditions and everyday life of old Poland. The programme will be complemented by musical interludes—sometimes light and playful, at other times reflective and contemplative.

After a short intermission, the evening will continue with the music of Fryderyk Chopin, setting a mood of lyrical reflection.

This will be followed by a selection of Romantic poetry and musical compositions inspired by Mickiewicz’s works.

The culmination will be a story of love, fidelity, and mystery—one of the most mystical and spiritually profound narratives of Polish Romanticism.

Echa Pol-Artu Sunday 1 February 2026 at 4:00PM 🗓

Let’s relive it once again!

On 1 February at 4:00 pm, at the General Sikorski Club,
the Poetry Group “Jeszcze Raz” returns with echoes of PolArt — a colourful, dynamic and magical festival held in Adelaide from 27 December 2025 to 5 January this year.

The magic of the festival was born from song, dance, colour, theatre and poetry — but above all from a strong sense of community that brought together artists from Australia and New Zealand.

For the first time in PolArt’s history, a poetry group from Perth took part, presenting a poetic and musical performance enriched with a visual presentation.

We would love to share this experience with the Polish community in Perth, so our entire community can relive it with us once again.

You are warmly invited!

Polish Cultural Extravaganza – Official Ceremony and Concert 9 November 2025 at 5:30 PM 🗓

Polish Club General W. Sikorski WA Inc and Polonia WA invite you to the Polish Festival – Polish Cultural Extravaganza from 8 and 16 November 2025 – Celebration of Polish Culture on the occasion of the 107th anniversary of Poland regaining independence.
This is a two-weekend event:

Day 2 – Sunday 9 November 2025 at 5:30 PM
Official Ceremony and Concert
“My Piaf”
Sings: Paulina Czechanowska

My Piaf

“Every woman carries within herself her own song – sometimes joyful, sometimes filled with pain, but always true.”

My Piaf is a moving musical monodrama inspired by the life and artistry of Édith Piaf. It takes audiences on a journey through emotion, passion, and feminine strength. It is a story of women’s lives – their loves, disappointments, hopes, and dreams – universal and timeless, transcending cultures and generations.

In the leading role is Paulina Czechanowska, a talented actress from Bristol (UK), embodying a woman engaged in an intimate dialogue with Piaf. Interweaving her own memories and experiences with those of the legendary French singer, Paulina discovers that Piaf’s songs reflect the life of every woman – full of highs and lows, yet always carrying hope.

The performance blends dramatic monologue with Piaf’s unforgettable songs, including La Vie en Rose, Non, je ne regrette rien, and Milord, presented in fresh, unique arrangements. Words and music intertwine to create an intimate atmosphere where each audience member can find echoes of their own story.

Will we hear in Piaf’s voice the resonance of our own lives? Will it inspire us to sing our own song?

We invite you to this unique, emotional encounter with music, theatre, and the female soul.
