Christmas Wafer and Christmas Eve Meal with Carols – Sunday 22 January 2023 at 1 PM 🗓

General Sikorski Club together with Father Leonard from the Greenmount Parish invite everyone  to the traditional Polish Wafer in the Polish Club in the Main Hall at 1:00 PM.  The hall will be specially decorated.

The Wafer Sharing is planned as follow:

  • Lighting a candle
  • Singing Christmas Carols
  • Reading of the Gospel passage according to Luke 2:1-20
  • Blessing of wafers, prayer and explanation of the meaning of breaking the wafer
  • Breaking wafers and making wishes to each other
  • Singing Christmas carols
  • Refreshments – The kitchen will prepare an inexpensive traditional Christmas Eve meal

Festival of Polish Culture 12-13 November 2022 🗓

Polish Club General W. Sikorski WA and Polonia WA invite you to the Festival of Polish Culture 2022 – Celebrating Polish Culture on the occasion of 104th Anniversary of Poland’s Regaining Independence.

This is a two-day event:

Day 1 – Family day Fair – Saturday 12 November 2022. From 2:00 – 10:00pm

Free Entry outdoor family event with artistic program, music, dance, fun competitions, activities for children, including petting zoo, arts and crafts corner, historical exhibitions, stalls with food, stands with sweets, bread, smallgoods, and many other attractions for all ages, there will be also a special kiosk with Polish gadgets and paraphernalia and information stall for Polish-Australian Business Forum.
The family festival will take place from 2 PM till 10 PM, official opening at 4:00 PM.
Bar will be open also from 2 till 10 PM

Day 2 – Classical Music Concert – Sunday 13 November 2022. From 4:00–6:00pm

Official ceremony followed by concert of classical music. Violinist, conductor and music animator Jacek Sławomirski presents program containing works of renown polish composers, performed by:

Quartet Varsovie, soprano Anna Pastusiak, and pianist Yi-Yun Loei.
