Welcome to the first this year Literary Salon. It will be a meeting with the author Danuta Duszynska (artistic nickname: “The Australian”) entitled: ‘The Poetry and My World’.

Saturday 11 May, start at 5 PM, Restaurant opens at 5:00 PM.

About Danuta:
The family was and is for her the most important thing. She cares deeply about her family and helps as much as possible and rejoices in their achievements. Since 1991 she lives in Perth, Western Australia, she lives pretty close to her daughters, Kasia and Agnieszka and grandchildren Patrick 19-year-old and 11-year-old Sebastian.
Her passion is writing, in a very broad sense. Playing with the words of a beautiful Polish language, this for an emigrant women of 28 years is like a balm for the soul. She writes poems, stories, memoirs, creates family albums, as well as travel to many interesting parts of the world, discovering the beauty of sites. Her works have found a place in the individual and collective publications, as well as on the pages of newspapers, portals, poetic recitations and videos on YouTube. She is an optimist; she loves the surrounding world and the people. “I’m the autumn, she says, autumn that may still be gold, purple and beautiful, though inevitably loses leaves …”
“.. … Today we had the first rehearsal of my poetry evening. I should keep it a secret, as a surprise, but I couldn’t stop myself writing this few words. I was able to attract a wonderful compilation of actors to recite lines, musicians, piano and violin, maybe even singers. We still have a lot of work to do, but already it looks good. Musicians are tuning up, they’ll give musical background for recitations, and also we will have some guest appearances (own compositions played by a young, talented pianist). We will have on stage up to seven artists (Ladies and gents).
Once again I invite you to this evening of poetry and music; it would be a spiritual feast for … free! 11th of May 2019 at 5 PM at Sikorski Club! There will be also some surprises! … ”
