Exhibition – Time for Heroes 17.02.2019 – 8.03.2019 🗓

Polish Club General W. Sikorski WA Inc. in association with Pilecki Project Committee and Polish Political Prisoners Association invite everyone to the Exhibition „Time For Heroes”.
This incredible exhibition was presented in Perth in the Western Australian Parliament House for one week in November 2018. The exhibition created great interest and some turbulence among Australian public and Polish diaspora in particular. Not only it showed parts of history unknown to many, but it presented the real facts either overlooked or intentionally hidden by the powers of the day.
The Exhibition is rich in facts, it contains over 60 exhibits and presents not widely known facts from WWII including:
• Warsaw Uprising 1944, heroism, fight, pride and sacrifices.
• Story of a great hero, Captain Witold Pilecki – Polish spy who volunteered imprisonment in Auschwitz – German Concentration Camp to gather evidence and escape to reveal to the world the truth about German Nazis Concentration Camps.
• Horrors of the Holocaust.
• Poles saving Jews – Żegota Polish Council to Aid Jews, it helped some 60,000 Jews.
The Exhibition was prepared by the Pilecki Project Committee and brought to Perth by the Polish Political Prisoners Association. It created great interest among Parliamentarians and the public at large. Unfortunately only one week on display at Parliament House did not allow many people to see it. Therefore Sikorski Club offered to extend viewing time for additional 3 weeks at its premises.
Please come to Sikorski Club between   17.02.2019 – 7.03.2019 . Opening times:
Monday – Friday, 10 AM – 2 PM (groups only, by appointment)
Open to public: Fridays 5:00 PM – 9 PM,
Saturdays and Sundays 12:30 PM – 5 PM
Official Exhibition opening – Sunday 17.02.2019 at 3 PM
There is free entry to the exhibition. All signage texts and descriptions are in English.
Please be warned that this exhibition is not for small children as some photographs may be disturbing (15+).
